how do I feel this good sober?

My heart is hurting knowing that a big piece of my childhood is now gone. His movies will remain, of course, but he is now gone. And hopefully so is his pain. Sometimes it is those who make people laugh and those who smile the brightest that suffer the most inside. Depression is a real struggle, whether suffered silently or visibly. (He suffered from bipolar disorder which has cycles of depression.) I wish peace to his soul and peace to his family as they grieve him. Robin Williams has been and will forever be a permanent memory of my childhood. He made me laugh and smile through my own rough childhood and depression, and I can’t thank him enough. I will dearly miss him.

“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
